Kleio is an AI story generator that turns a single idea into a finished, narrated, exportable book. Instead of a flat chat transcript, you shape the plot through meaningful choices, and Kleio tracks characters, settings, and plot details so the story stays consistent from beginning to end.
Do I need to create an account to start a story?
No. Kleio works out of the box with an anonymous account, so you can start writing immediately. Signing in is optional and simply lets you sync your library across devices.
Can Kleio write bedtime stories for kids?
Yes. Fairytale/Kids is a built-in mode with a gentler tone and stricter content filtering, designed for a parent to read aloud or play as narration. It runs under the same adult-owned account — there is no separate child account or child login.
How does Kleio keep long stories from contradicting themselves?
Kleio automatically tracks characters, settings, and plot details across the whole story, so a multi-chapter book stays coherent instead of forgetting what happened several chapters earlier.
Can I listen to my Kleio stories instead of reading them?
Yes. Every story can be played as narrated audio using built-in text-to-speech, so you can listen instead of, or alongside, reading.
Which platforms does Kleio support?
Kleio is built for iOS and Android from a single Kotlin Multiplatform codebase, launching soon on both the App Store and Google Play.
Is my data private on Kleio?
Your story library is stored locally on your device and, if you sign in, synced securely. Story text you write is sent to Kleio's AI provider only to generate the next part of your story. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
